Originally built at the San Jose assembly plant as a factory 302 V8 automatic car with deluxe interior, this 1968 Mustang has been transformed into a meticulously engineered Restomod with approximately 5,000 miles since completion. The build combines classic Mustang styling with modern drivability, performance, and reliability.

Power comes from a professionally built 400 horsepower 351 Windsor crate engine featuring a nodular cast iron crankshaft, deburred and micro-polished internals, shot-peened forged connecting rods with 190,000 PSI bolts, Federal Mogul hypereutectic pistons (9.7:1 compression), chrome moly rings, double roller timing set, Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, Clevite bearings, and Fel-Pro gaskets throughout.

The engine is topped with Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads fitted with Scorpion valves and heavy-duty valve springs, Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers, an Edelbrock Performer RPM dual-plane intake manifold, and an Edelbrock 650 CFM carburetor with electric choke. Additional upgrades include a high-flow water pump, high-volume fuel pump, MSD billet distributor with Digital 6+ ignition, Blaster II coil, Taylor 10mm Pro wires, Canton 7-quart front sump oil pan with anti-slosh gate, braided fuel lines, 140-amp single-wire alternator, March serpentine pulley system, and a custom export brace/Monte Carlo bar.

Backing the Windsor is a Tremec TKO500 5-speed manual transmission equipped with a clutch cable conversion, Prothane mount, tubular crossmember, and custom aluminum driveshaft.

Cooling duties are handled by an aluminum Griffin radiator paired with a Flex-a-lite electric fan system.

Exhaust consists of JBA ceramic-coated headers feeding a custom 2.5-inch mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust system with H-pipe and Flowmaster Super 10 mufflers.

The rear end features a Currie Ford 9-inch assembly with 3.50 gears, 31-spline performance axles, TrueTrac differential, and Currie Nodular street case.

Handling and braking have been comprehensively upgraded with:

  • Total Control Products power rack-and-pinion steering with Sportsman integrated pump
  • Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes with stainless brake lines
  • Large-bearing Ford spindles
  • Global West adjustable front coilovers
  • Tubular upper and lower control arms
  • Adjustable strut rods
  • Global West reverse-eye 5-leaf rear springs with Del-A-Lum bushings
  • QA1 adjustable rear shocks
  • Subframe connectors
  • 17-inch American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels

The interior blends classic styling with modern touches, featuring a 1967 deluxe brushed aluminum interior with 1968 deluxe seat inserts, extensive sound deadening, leather-wrapped rear panels, Simpson 5-point cam-lock harnesses, Branda Shelby-style tilt steering wheel, Auto Meter Phantom gauges with blue backlighting, and upgraded carpeting and floor mats.

Additional features include upgraded headlamps and numerous detail refinements throughout the build.
